Morning, friends!
I'll admit, this was an odd week for me and I feel like that came through on the show. Should I have done it again? Maybe, but then you wouldn't get this episode until about midnight. So enjoy me getting a bit real, trying to talk about TV finales, comparing myself to Bryce Harper, and more!

Pat rambles on the news (2:31), finally seeing Avengers (5:49), our favorite TV finales (8:22), and people getting mad at cartoon weddings (19:17). Plus some new games to play (24:46), the latest tune from kill joy. (30:41), Phillies notes (35:42), and his dad's response (41:54)!
🍉
So a lot more was rambled on re: the news, but I decided to cut it because the episode was taking a weird turn. The bottom line is that people are trying to be scumbags under the guise of "pro-life" when many of them really feel:
BUT I DIGRESS: Avengers was incredible, friends. I realize I may be preaching to the choir on this, but what a way to wrap up that saga. Everyone crushed it and I cannot wait for Spider-Man: Far From Home. If you haven't seen Avengers, do the thing, then watch this trailer!
📺
I realize I should have done a bit more research on my TV finales, but I warn you about my rambling for a reason. That said, I love TV shows and will find any reason to talk about them, so if you have a TV-related topic for me, do it up! (I wonder when Jeopardy! will have another TV category...)
Speaking of TV: Mr. Ratburn, Arthur's teacher, got married in the season 22 premiere! It was so wonderful that a kids' show did this (though it was not at the beginning of the episode, I misspoke). It was also both hilarious and sad to see people losing their minds over it. Talk to your kids, you mongs! Instead of just a photo, here's a video I found of the creator, Marc Brown, explaining the idea:
Many thanks to our new friends, kill joy. for the tune! Head over to your favorite streaming place to do the thing!
To recap for the non-sports people: I compared Bryce Harper being in a slump in his Major League Baseball career to me being in a slump in my CYO Basketball career. When you see that, it seems ridiculous. But was my overall point really that far off base? I say nay!
Finally this week: thanks, Dad for listening to the segment I sent you and for taking the time to respond. It was of course all in good fun - also find that duffel bag!
That's that, friends! I know I've kept you here for a bit, so go enjoy your day and don't do anything I wouldn't do!
Crap open a cold one!
