January brings two highly-anticipated Amazon Original Series and one Amazon Original special exclusively for Prime members to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership:
- The 2018 Rose Parade Hosted by Cord & Tish: The Amazon Original special is presented by Funny or Die, and will be hosted by Will Ferrell as Cord Hosenbeck and Molly Shannon as Tish Cattigan. The special will be available to stream live starting at 8amPT, and features entertaining commentary from Will and Molly as hosts of the 2018 Rose Parade. The special will be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. (Jan.1)
- Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams S1: The Amazon Original Series is based on short stories from Philip K. Dick, which explores humanity in set from 5 to 5000 years in the future and questions what it means to be human in unique and fantastical worlds. The series will be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. (Jan.12)
- Just Add Magic S2b: The Amazon Original Series continues into part two and follows Kelly, Hannah and Darbie as they race to identify who is cursing the town and destroying all of the magical spices and erasing everyone’s memories of magic. The series will be available in HDR on compatible HDR devices. (Jan.19)
In addition to Amazon Originals, licensed TV series coming to Prime Video next month include season ten of BBC’s hit-series Doctor Who and season 6 of NBC’s fantasy-drama series Grimm. Additionally, blockbuster hit films like Brothers (Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire) and Reservoir Dogs (Quentin Tarantino), as well as popular titles like Thelma & Louise (Ridley Scott) and Zodiac (Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey, Jr.) join existing films on Prime Video.
Titles available for purchase through Amazon Video include, syfy film Geostorm, starring Gerard Butler and Abbie Cornish, along with season one of Turner Network’s thriller series The Alienist with Dakota Fanning.
Next month through Amazon Channels, Prime members subscribed to PBS Masterpiece can enjoy season two of acclaimed series Victoria. On HBO, comedy fans can watch season two premier of Divorce or stream the series Counterpart on STARZ.
