It has been quite a week in Pat Land, so the show isn't as packed as usual. But I think we made up for it with Charlie's return, so everyone wins! I have to go get groceries today so if I don't make it back, I'm cool with this being the last podcast I do. Let's get to it!

Reopening
This right now is an awful idea. The curve is not flat, so we should not get ahead of ourselves. Keep up the social distancing, keep washing your hands, keep wearing masks - we're not ready to get going again just yet.
Commuting
I am so glad I do not have to put up with that nightmare scenario for the foreseeable future. If you don't have a car and don't really have to go anywhere, do yourself a solid and stay home. It's not worth the hassle.
Working from home
I have wondered about working from home for years. Once our phones were integrated with Skype, I figured the natural transition was to get us out of the offices. I did not want a global pandemic to be the catalyst, but I am very happy to not have to go somewhere to get my stuff done. Plus I get to work in sweatpants!
Senior pictures
I know you think this is helping somehow, but I really don't think it is. Don't rub it in when you know current seniors don't get to do the thing you're sharing. Also don't share your prom pictures right now. You [again] may think it's a good idea, but it really isn't.
Charlie Saxton, the second part
I'll be honest, pals: I was surprised this happened. But to be fair, I'm always surprised when someone agrees to join the show. I loved this conversation and I hope you do as well - virtual auditions, songwriting, the band's new EP, and more!
MUCH BETTER
Many thanks, of course, to the band for the tune. Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Spotify - and get the EP (For the Kids!) on bandcamp!

And that's that, pals! I did put together my new PC last night, so next week's show should be on that guy. YUGE thanks to Josh for building it and walking me through setup - I feel bad I'll have to ask him to virtually show me how to install a solid state drive very soon.
Anyway, I hope you're staying safe and healthy. I have no idea what's on tap for next week but until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!
Crap open a cold one!
